The Business

A long-established beverage manufacturer producing high-quality juices and smoothies for retail, foodservice, and wholesale markets across the UK and Ireland is looking to expand its commercial team.

The company operates multiple production facilities across Ireland, allowing it to efficiently service customers in both the UK and EU markets. In addition to producing its own branded products, the business also manufactures private label products and provides co-packing services for a range of well-known beverage brands.

With ambitious growth plans for the coming years, the company is seeking to strengthen its sales team to support expansion across key markets.

Role Background & Opportunity

The Key Account Manager will work closely with all functional departments to gain a full understanding of the business operations and processes. From purchasing and planning to finance, production, quality, and logistics, the role provides broad exposure across the organisation.

You will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with both existing and new customers, anticipating their needs, and driving sales growth and profitability.

This role will focus on the Retail, Foodservice, and Wholesale markets across Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland, and will require occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key relationships within Retail, Foodservice, and Wholesale customers in GB & ROI.

  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs as defined by management.

  • Develop strong relationships with key customers to retain and grow business.

  • Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Understand monthly and annual customer requirements and raise relevant issues during internal sales meetings.

  • Learn internal pricing structures and support onboarding of new clients and renewal of existing contracts.

  • Gather and communicate customer feedback relating to service, product, and delivery.

  • Attend relevant trade shows to promote products and generate new business opportunities.

  • Manage and oversee relevant annual contract renewals.

  • Support market research and new product development initiatives.

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to improve product offering.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Previous Key Account Management experience within FMCG.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within GB & ROI and work independently.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.

  • Results-driven with strong numerical and analytical capability.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Professional, friendly, and diplomatic approach to customer service.

  • Ability to identify new opportunities and generate ideas for growth.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and online communication platforms.

  • Full UK/Irish driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working with Retail, Foodservice, and Wholesale channels in GB & ROI.

  • Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
