Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Purpose

To coordinate a small team of production operatives, ensuring efficient workflow, consistent product quality, and full compliance with food safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate tasks to production operatives in line with the daily production plan.

  • Ensure team members understand their duties and receive appropriate on-the-job training.

  • Monitor productivity, product quality, and hygiene standards on the production line.

  • Carry out regular quality checks and escalate any issues to supervisors when required.

  • Support new starters and provide feedback to supervisors on performance and training needs.

  • Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork and traceability records.

  • Act as the first point of contact for team-related queries or concerns.

  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
