Team Leader
Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Purpose
To coordinate a small team of production operatives, ensuring efficient workflow, consistent product quality, and full compliance with food safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Allocate tasks to production operatives in line with the daily production plan.

Ensure team members understand their duties and receive appropriate on-the-job training.

Monitor productivity, product quality, and hygiene standards on the production line.

Carry out regular quality checks and escalate any issues to supervisors when required.

Support new starters and provide feedback to supervisors on performance and training needs.

Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork and traceability records.

Act as the first point of contact for team-related queries or concerns.

Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Skills & Qualifications

Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Basic knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
