Position: Hotel Maintenance Technician
Location: Benny's Colville Inn, 915 S Main St, Colville, WA 99114
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and addressing repair needs promptly to provide a comfortable experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
Repairs: Address and repair issues related to guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, including plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, and HVAC system failures.
Guest Requests: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel policies.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours and weekends, as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Skills: Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry.
Certifications: EPA Certification for HVAC, electrical or plumbing license, or OSHA Safety Training is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
Work Schedule: Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
