About the Role

An esteemed San Francisco family seeks a world-class Estate Manager to orchestrate seamless daily operation and smart systems within their 6,000 sq ft primary residence. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all residence operations ensuring optimal standards of safety, simplicity, and sophistication
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a lean team (Household Manager, Operations, EA, Chef, Nanny)
  • Deploy and optimize advanced management systems (Asana, Slack, Lutron, 1Password)
  • Implement and uphold strict confidentiality and privacy protocols
  • Manage and support age-appropriate child safety practices; plan and coordinate family routines/activities
  • Direct residence and event projects with precise planning, execution, and process documentation (SOPs)
  • Serve as communication hub: liaise with Chief of Staff, filter updates via Slack and urgent texting
  • Negotiate and manage vendors/contractors to align with luxury service and family values
  • Oversee household budgets, expenses, financial reporting, and cost optimization
  • Deliver understated, high-touch event coordination with invisible service style

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years managing sophisticated UHNW private households or equivalent estates
  • Deep experience with lean teams and high standards in low-key, high-profile residences
  • Advanced expertise in management/ops software (Asana, Slack, Lutron, 1Password, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in privacy protection, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Experience implementing child safety, non-toxic protocols, and creating safe family environments
  • Exceptional project management, organization, and leadership skills
  • Proven financial acumen: budgeting, negotiation, reporting, and cost control
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and digital communication abilities
  • History of process optimization, systems creation, and seamless, invisible household management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record running premier estates with children in residence
  • Direct experience reporting to Chief of Staff or ultra-high-net-worth principals
  • Comfort with small, high-performing teams versus large household staffs
  • Strong vendor/contractor relationships and negotiation experience
