About the job Customer & Marketing Insights Analyst

The Role 

Reporting to the Data Marketing Manager, you'll work with large and varied datasets to uncover trends, optimise campaigns and improve the customer experience. You'll play a key role in helping the wider Marketing team and Senior Leadership Team make informed, data-led decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns and correlations using statistical techniques
  • Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Marketing and SLT
  • Gathering data from multiple sources including CRM systems, sales databases and marketing platforms
  • Supporting data integrity by cleaning, validating and pre-processing data
  • Assisting in defining business logic to improve data quality and reliability
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tools, processes and ways of working
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, AI developments and best practices in data analysis and visualisation
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects focused on understanding customers, improving engagement and driving sales

What You'll Bring 

Essential

  • 1–3 years' experience in data analysis, ideally within marketing or customer data (retail experience highly regarded)
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data
  • A naturally curious mindset with a passion for exploring customer behaviour and uncovering opportunities
  • Experience working with large datasets beyond the limitations of Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills – able to present insights clearly, verbally, in writing and visually, for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable

  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio or Business Objects
  • Exposure to marketing automation platforms
