About the job Draftsperson / Store Designer

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Draftsperson / Store Designer to support the design and delivery of Best & Less new stores and refurbishments. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring consistency, compliance, and brand integrity across all store projects.

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast‑paced environment, enjoys solving design challenges, and takes pride in producing accurate, build‑ready drawings. You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, architects, and landlords to bring each store design to life.

About You

You are an experienced draftsperson with strong technical capability, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for well‑executed retail design. You bring deep experience in Revit and AutoCAD, understand the importance of consistent documentation, and are confident navigating building codes, compliance requirements and fit‑out standards.

You collaborate naturally with architects, consultants, engineers and project managers, and youre comfortable managing multiple drawing packages and deadlines at once. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy contributing to the development of brand‑consistent retail environments.

You thrive in a busy project environment and bring structure, accuracy and solutions‑focused thinking to everything you do.

Your Day Will Consist Of

  • Producing detailed Revit and AutoCAD drawings for new stores, refurbishments and fit‑outs, including demolition, new works, prelim, tender and construction issue packages.
  • Maintaining consistent file structures, naming conventions and documentation standards across all projects.
  • Reviewing, checking and marking up external design partner drawings to ensure Best & Less documentation standards are met.
  • Keeping finishes schedules, standard details and store documentation packages up to date, issuing revisions as needed.
  • Ensuring all drawings meet relevant Australian Standards and BCA compliance requirements.
  • Liaising with architects, engineers, lighting consultants, contractors and property owners throughout the design process.
  • Approving VM and lighting equipment orders based on final design checks.
  • Supporting procurement by providing accurate Bills of Quantities and equipment lists.
  • Participating in site meetings and project control groups to answer documentation queries and provide real-time solutions.
  • Ensuring partners can access the correct drawings and information quickly and easily.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve documentation processes, templates and ways of working.
