Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage the entire quality function within a precision CNC machining environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance systems, leading audits, managing a quality team, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards. The right candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Department and manage all quality control, inspection, and assurance activities.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality audits (internal, customer, third-party).

  • Establish and track key quality metrics, analyze trends, and drive improvement initiatives.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.

  • Oversee internal and external non-conformance processes and ensure timely corrective/preventive actions.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues and enhance product quality.

  • Manage calibration programs for all precision measurement equipment and ensure timely maintenance.

  • Maintain documentation for inspections, process validations, first article inspections (FAI), and final product releases.

  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline required.

  • 5+ years of experience in quality leadership within a manufacturing or CNC machining environment.

  • Deep understanding of ISO 9001 (AS9100 a plus), PPAP, FMEA, SPC, CAPA, and other quality tools.

  • Strong background in dimensional inspection, blueprint reading, and GD&T.

  • Experience with audit preparation and execution (internal, customer, or certifying bodies).

  • Proficient with quality software and data analysis tools.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the floor and the boardroom.
