Job Description:
1. Role Description
Bethel Chambers is looking for a dynamic and highly driven individual with a keen legal mind who will support our team and our clients by providing excellent legal advice and support. Based at our office in Shenton Way, this candidate will be responsible for assisting partners in everyday legal work such as managing client files, research and drafting documents. The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years PQE, experience in matrimonial law, mental capacity law and dispute resolution.
2. Specific Responsibilities
- Taking and executing instructions from clients, giving legal advice to clients, including legal research and drafting of legal documents etc
- Client case management from start to finish, and working with other team members (secretaries, paralegals, partners etc) to ensure that client matters are swiftly and competently attended to
- Attending Court proceedings, client meetings alone or with partners/other team members
3. Requirements
- An experienced individual who possesses an LL(B) from a recognized university, and have been admitted to the Singapore bar, with minimum 1-3 years PQE
- Familiar with legal processes of the Singapore Courts
- You have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to speak and write other languages/dialects is an advantage
- You are IT savvy and very comfortable using MS Office applications, and you're also willing to learn how to use new software when required. Knowledge and familiarity of Clio Practice Management System is an advantage
- You are extremely organized, meticulous and detail-oriented
- You are diligent, take initiative and are a problem-solver
- You are able to work without supervision, but also work well in a team
- You are able to communicate well and empathetically to clients, and provide good customer service
