Teacher of English

Salary: £30,000 - £41,333 per year

Contract type: Full time / Temporary Role - Maternity Cover until July 2024

Start date: January 2024 or as soon as possible

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English on a Full time basis, until the end of the academic year. Delivering English Language and English Literature across Years 7 - 11 (KS3 - KS4). The pupils are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative and the staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, as a result we are seeking a teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

About you:

• Enthusiastic teacher who is confident and passionate about their work
• Will Hold QTS or equivalent
• The position will be teaching English across KS3 and KS4

Suitable Applicants Must Have:

• QTS (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English at GCSE and KS3 Level, ideally AQA Experience
• The confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
