Teacher of Geography

Salary: £30,000 - £41,333 per year

Contract type: Part time / Temporary Role - possibly become Permanent for the right candidate

Start date: January 2024 or as soon as possible

We are working with an inspiring school, with a Good Ofsted rating report.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Geography on a Part time basis, working 3 days one week and then 2 days the next on a rolling 2 week rota, until Easter in the first instance. The pupils are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative and the staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, as a result we are seeking a teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

About you:

  • Enthusiastic teacher who is confident and passionate about their work
  • Will Hold QTS or equivalent
  • The position will be teaching Geography across KS4 and KS5, with some KS3
  • Along with 1 year 10 PACE lesson a week (power point lesson plan provided)

Suitable Applicants Must Have:

  • QTS (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level, ideally OCR/AQA Experience
  • The confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
