Job Description: HR Manager - Pharmaceutical Industry

Location: BKC, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time, Work from Office

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing comprehensive HR functions, focusing on recruitment, employee engagement, and compliance, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee the entire recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and on boarding.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create detailed job descriptions tailored to their hiring needs.
  • Lead bulk hiring efforts for field sales roles within the pharma industry (mandatory).

2. HR Operations

  • Ensure smooth implementation of HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records in the HRMS.
  • Handle payroll processing, leave management, and statutory compliance seamlessly.

3. Employee Engagement

  • Design and execute employee engagement programs to nurture a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Address employee grievances, fostering an environment of mutual trust and understanding.
  • Organize training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.

4. Performance Management

  • Facilitate annual performance appraisal cycles, including goal setting and feedback discussions.
  • Implement performance enhancement strategies to optimize team productivity and engagement.

5. Compliance & Audits

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all labor laws and industry-specific HR standards.
  • Prepare for and support both internal and external audits related to HR operations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of HR functions and challenges specific to the pharma sector.
  • Proven experience in bulk hiring and working with HRMS tools.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to manage employee relations effectively.
  • Proactive and strategic approach to aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: MBA or Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment and compliance.
  • Prior experience in bulk hiring for field sales positions in the pharma industry is mandatory.
  • Availability: Early joiners preferred (maximum notice period of 30 days).
