Summary of the Role

Teach coding concepts to students through engaging, structured online lessons, fostering logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver interactive coding lessons for students.
• Explain coding concepts clearly using age-appropriate language and examples.
• Use real-life examples to improve understanding and engagement.
• Maintain a structured, well-paced, and organized teaching flow.
• Create a positive and supportive online learning environment.
• Demonstrate strong teaching presence through tone, clarity, and enthusiasm.
• Ensure accuracy and relevance of coding concepts taught.
• Use tools like Code.org (App Lab) for practical demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong conceptual understanding of programming fundamentals (e.g., variables, functions, logic).
• Ability to explain technical concepts simply and clearly.
• Student engagement and interactive teaching skills.
• Lesson structuring and logical content flow.
• Effective pacing, voice modulation, and instructional delivery.
• Professional online teaching presence.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language.
• Experience using beginner-friendly coding platforms (e.g., Code.org App Lab).
• Ability to demonstrate coding concepts via screen sharing or live tools.

Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience teaching coding to students.
• Online teaching or ed-tech experience preferred.
• Experience with ed-tech companies such as WhiteHat Jr, Bambinos, Codingal, Tynker, BrightChamps.
