About the job Group Finance Manager

Objective of the role:

Hands-on accounting professional to support financial reporting, group consolidation, and overall finance operations. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full spectrum of day-to-day accounting and financial operations across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual Group consolidation across the 14 entities
  • Review financial submissions from multiple overseas related parties and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
  • Perform intercompany eliminations, reconciliations and maintain consistency of financial data
  • Prepare full sets of financial statements and consolidated statements under SFRS / IFRS
  • Support new market entry through financial / regulatory research and set up planning
  • Support ECI filings, respond to tax queries, and handle tax audits
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards in each country
  • Oversee Corporate tax, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee annual banking compliance requirements
  • Manage all tax-related matters, including GST/VAT, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Income Tax filings
  • Coordinate and support audits, liaise with external auditors, and tax advisors
  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of Group Accounting policies and monitor compliance within the Group
  • Review and propose revisions and ensure adherence to the Group's Financial Policy and practices
  • Support FP&A in annual budgetary and business planning exercises
  • Provide financial leadership across the business to meet business plan targets
  • Identifying areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Manage and mentor finance staff within the region to build a cohesive and high-performing team
  • Keeping abreast with the latest updated accounting standards and leading in making any accounting changes necessary to comply with the new/revised accounting standards
  • Handle any other ad hoc duties as directed by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is preferred
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA is required
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-country finance role with solid grounding in audit and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance in SG, MY, TH and VN
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
