Job Purpose

To ensure accurate execution of daily accounting transactions, maintain up to date financial records, and support effective internal financial controls for reliable financial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process daily financial transactions including:

        - Supplier payments

        - Invoice creation

        - Sales receipts

        - Journal entries for accruals and prepayments

  • Enter, retrieve, and maintain financial information using accounting systems
  • Updates and maintains accurate records of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and other financial data.
  • Prepare and manage payment and receipt vouchers
  • Archive and organize financial documents properly
  • Support general ledger accounting functions
  • Review and verify expense reports and escalate discrepancies to Finance Head
  • Manage Accounts Receivable:

      - Issue invoices and refunds

      - Generate Statements of Account (SOA)

      - Reconcile accounts and monitor overdue balances

  • Manage Accounts Payable:

      - Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments

      - Reconcile accounts

  • Conduct month-end reconciliations and assist in month-end financial reporting
  • Assist in preparing year-end financial reports
  • Provide administrative support for maintaining accurate and up to date operations
  • Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge with UAE & GCC regulations
  • Excellent knowledge in VAT principals.
  • Proficiency in Accounting software. SAP experience is a definite plus
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial and employee data
  • Excellent Teamwork & communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
  • Fluent written & verbal English communication.
  • Internet research capabilities and software literacy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
