Bishop Montgomery High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory secondary school based out of 5430 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, California, United States.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to support the academic, emotional, and social development of high school students. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessment, counseling, and consultation, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for eligibility determinations and intervention planning.
  • Develop and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Serve as a crisis intervention specialist and contribute to school-wide safety and mental health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and academic achievement.
  • Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
  • Deliver staff training on mental health awareness, trauma-informed practices, and classroom strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology
  • Valid School Psychologist certification
  • Experience working in a high school or secondary school setting (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of special education law (IDEA, Section 504), MTSS, and NASP ethical standards
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with psychological assessment tools and reporting software
