Financial Controller

THE ROLE

The Financial Controller provides technical accounting direction to ensure that all companies' controlling, and financial accounting operations comply with the Philippine and Netherlands standards and that important accounting processes are appropriately and adequately supported and recorded.

Tasks include:

• Oversee and manage all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the management team to support decision making and drive business growth.
• Analyze financial data and prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Manage the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's financial practices are in line with current standards.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role, preferably in a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Having worked for a Dutch company previously is an advantage.
• Dutch language ability (at any level) is an advantage.
• Experience with EXACT accounting software is an advantage.
