Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually + OT (16 hours mandatory/month, additional optional OT available) + quarterly production bonuses + performance-based increases after training

Schedule

  • Weekend Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Week 1: Thursday – Sunday
  • Week 2: Friday – Sunday
    Must be comfortable working extended 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Job Overview

Join a high-speed, highly automated aseptic beverage manufacturing facility as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for ensuring production equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime in a regulated, GMP-style environment.

Technicians will perform hands-on mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on critical production systems supporting continuous beverage manufacturing operations.

Candidates with experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, plastics, or other regulated/highly automated manufacturing environments are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, valves, and gearboxes
  • Diagnose equipment failures and support production uptime
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and process diagrams (including P&IDs when applicable)
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, PM records, and documentation in compliance with SOPs
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow GMP, safety, sanitation, and environmental compliance standards
  • Assist with general facility maintenance and minor repairs as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with industrial machinery
  • Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and equipment manuals
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable:

  • Food or beverage manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical or nutraceutical production
  • Chemical or plastics manufacturing
  • Highly automated or regulated production environments

Additional exposure is a plus:

  • HVAC systems, compressors, refrigeration
  • Boilers, welding, plumbing, wastewater systems
  • Multi-trade industrial maintenance environments

Environment & Compliance

This is an aseptic, regulated manufacturing environment with strict sanitation and quality standards. Technicians are expected to:

  • Follow GMP-style procedures and SOPs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
  • Work in a highly structured, audit-ready production environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as required
