Decentralized Identity (DID) Specialist
Designing, developing, and implementing decentralized identity solutions leveraging blockchain and trust ecosystems
Position Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Decentralized Identity Specialist with expertise in Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), digital wallets, and trust ecosystems. This role involves architecting and deploying self-sovereign identity (SSI) solutions that empower users with control over their digital identities while enhancing security and privacy.
You will collaborate with security architects, blockchain developers, and business stakeholders to build interoperable, user-centric identity frameworks based on emerging decentralized identity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Decentralized Identity Architecture
- Design and implement DID-based identity solutions aligned with W3C DID standards
- Develop and integrate digital wallets for identity credential storage and management
- Establish trust frameworks and governance models for decentralized identity ecosystems
Solution Development & Integration
- Collaborate with blockchain teams to leverage distributed ledger technologies for identity verification
- Integrate decentralized identity solutions with existing enterprise IAM and access control systems
- Develop APIs and SDKs to enable applications to interact with DIDs and verifiable credentials
Security & Privacy
- Ensure privacy-preserving identity management in compliance with relevant regulations
- Implement cryptographic techniques for secure credential issuance, presentation, and verification
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments related to decentralized identity deployments
Research & Innovation
- Stay updated on decentralized identity standards, protocols, and emerging technologies
- Participate in industry consortia, standards bodies, and pilot projects related to DIDs and SSI
- Drive innovation by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) concepts
- Familiarity with digital wallet technologies and verifiable credentials
- Understanding of blockchain/distributed ledger technologies (Hyperledger Indy, Ethereum, etc.)
- Knowledge of cryptographic principles relevant to identity (public key infrastructure, zero-knowledge proofs)
- Strong software development skills (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Go) for identity solution integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with standards organizations such as W3C, DIF, or Trust over IP Foundation
- Hands-on experience with DID method implementations (e.g., did:ethr, did:key, did:web)
- Background in IAM, cybersecurity, or blockchain development
- Familiarity with privacy regulations and decentralized governance models
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical teams and business units
