Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience in precision machining environments to ensure parts meet strict dimensional and quality standards. This role is responsible for in-process and final inspections of complex machined components with tight tolerances, supporting aerospace and high-precision manufacturing requirements.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and the use of precision measurement tools to verify compliance and maintain product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of precision-machined parts with tolerances as tight as ±0.0002"
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Identify, document, and report nonconformances; initiate NCRs and support root cause analysis efforts
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation for internal and customer/aerospace compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision machining environment
- Proven experience working with tight tolerances down to .0005" or tighter
- Strong blueprint reading skills; GD&T knowledge strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
