We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including equipment reliability, building systems, grounds, and production processes. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. This position plays a key role in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards, and supporting capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase production efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate plant layout changes, equipment installations, and process improvements.
  • Oversee capital and expense budget projects to ensure cost-effective implementation.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and all safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety throughout the plant.
  • Build and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality maintenance and project execution.
  • Support engineering staff with training, resources, and tools to ensure successful maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to address operational issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the breader/batter protein industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of ammonia and refrigeration systems, protein processing, and plant utilities.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and PLC systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures (-40°F to 110°F).
  • May require walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is required.
  • Primarily first shift (7 AM-  5 PM, Monday to Friday), with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $135,000- $200,000 annually, with potential to reach up to $225,000 for top talent.
  • Bonus potential: Up to 17%.
