Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Clerk / Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily materials handling, inventory accuracy, and shipping/receiving operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates experienced in warehouse operations, inventory control, forklift operation, and data entry within ERP or inventory systems (SAP experience a plus).
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate receipt, tracking, labeling, and movement of materials while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry in inventory management systems (including SAP or similar platforms)
- Receive incoming materials, verify paperwork, and ensure product accuracy
- Scan, label, and track inventory using barcode scanning systems
- Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
- Conduct cycle counts, rack audits, and inventory reconciliation
- Unpack, sort, and re-label incoming components as needed
- Support shipping, receiving, and production material flow
- Handle returns processing and inventory adjustments
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas (6S standards)
- Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures (ISO/TS standards)
- Assist material handling teams and support general warehouse needs
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with inventory receiving, scanning, and data entry
- Forklift operation experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Stable employment history and willingness to discuss past experience
Preferred Skills
- SAP or ERP system experience
- Cycle counting or inventory auditing experience
- Manufacturing or automotive supply chain experience
- Knowledge of safety and housekeeping standards in industrial settings
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and industrial equipment
- Requires the use of steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection
- Physical role involving standing, walking, lifting, and material movement throughout the shift
Location & Commute
This is an onsite-only role in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Candidates within a 30–45 minute commute (including Marysville, Sidney, Urbana, Kenton, and Springfield areas) are strongly preferred due to shift requirements and no relocation assistance.
