Construction Equipment Repair Technician

Join a trusted, family-owned Iowa equipment company serving since 1968! We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to repair and maintain small-engine and construction equipment, including generators, concrete saws, pumps, power buggies, plate compactors, mixers, and light towers.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform maintenance efficiently and safely.
• Reference service manuals, parts catalogs, and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate service records, logs, and timesheets.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Use and maintain your own hand tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with small-engine or construction equipment repair.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work extended hours (Mon-Fri 7 am-5 pm; Sat 8 am-noon).
• Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Preferred:

• Dealership or rental environment experience.
• CDL or the ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of brands like Honda, Wacker, and Multiquip.
