Mechanical Engineer – Theme Park / Large-Scale Systems
Location: Orlando, FL | On-Site | Travel: Up to 35%

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and commissioning of large-scale mechanical systems for amusement rides and industrial automation projects. You will work on full system design—from concept through installation—ensuring safety, reliability, and performance in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for large-scale projects, including theme park ride systems
  • Perform stress, fatigue, load, and failure mode (FMEA) analysis
  • Conduct hazard/risk assessments and ensure compliance with ASTM safety standards
  • Develop detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Troubleshoot and commission pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems onsite
  • Lead projects as a technical lead or Project Manager for $50K–$250K projects, coordinating engineers, technicians, and contractors
  • Prepare system documentation, test plans, and maintenance/job plans

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
  • Experience: 7–10+ years in mechanical system design, including full system design and field installation; experience with theme park or industrial ride systems preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; knowledge of mechanical system analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components, stress/fatigue analysis, acceleration forces, and ASTM safety standards
  • Ability to travel up to 35% and work onsite at client locations
