Location: Ponca City, OK
Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM–1:00 AM (Mon–Fri + occasional weekends)
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + up to 14% annual bonus
Reports To: Operations Manager | Direct Reports: 4 Production Supervisors

Job Overview

Were seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead second-shift operations in a food manufacturing / USDA-regulated facility. This role oversees production, safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement and meeting aggressive production targets (93%+ efficiency).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily production and shipment schedules to meet customer demand
  • Manage manpower, equipment, and production capacity to maximize efficiency and control costs
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, hazard-free production environment through training, audits, and inspections
  • Review production reports, monitor inventory, and communicate performance across shifts
  • Develop, train, and mentor Production Supervisors; support new equipment and process changes
  • Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to improve uptime and equipment utilization

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing or production operations
  • Proven experience managing supervisors and large production teams
  • Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety, and manufacturing safety standards
  • Excellent decision-making, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Meat Science, Business, or related field
  • Experience with budgeting, capital projects, and cost optimization
  • Familiarity with McDonald's or major food service production standards
  • Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing

Work Environment

  • Production floor environment (hot/cold temperatures, loud noise, strong odors)
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
  • PPE required in designated areas
