Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Hybrid)
Salary: $120,000–$130,000 + up to 15% bonus
Schedule: Full-Time | Mon–Fri | Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

A well-established environmental engineering and consulting firm (serving clients since 1985) is seeking an experienced Brownfield Redevelopment Project Manager to lead complex environmental redevelopment projects across the U.S.

Job Overview

The Brownfield Redevelopment Project Manager will manage the full lifecycle of environmental site assessments, remediation, and redevelopment projects. This role ensures regulatory compliance (EPA, CERCLA, state Brownfield programs), strong client relationships, and on-time, on-budget delivery while supporting sustainability and redevelopment incentives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation projects
  • Lead full-cycle Brownfield redevelopment projects: assessment, remediation, design, and construction
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, CERCLA, and state/local environmental regulations
  • Advise clients and municipalities on Brownfield redevelopment incentives
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams (engineers, scientists, planners, contractors)
  • Oversee client communication, billing, cost tracking, and collections
  • Support proposal development and business development initiatives
  • Mentor junior staff and maintain strong client relationships

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5–10 years of direct Brownfield redevelopment and environmental remediation experience
  • Strong expertise in Phase I & Phase II ESAs and remediation technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with redevelopment incentives and municipal advising
  • Business development and proposal-writing experience
  • GIS proficiency (3–5 years preferred)
  • Experience with environmental data management and remediation tracking software
