Shift: 2nd Shift (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Role Impact

As the Environmental Services (EVS) / Custodial Manager 2, you will lead the frontline team at Altru Health to ensure a sterile, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Your leadership directly influences patient recovery and hospital safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage daily housekeeping and custodial operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and departmental efficiency.
  • Staff Development: Direct, train, and mentor a diverse team, focusing on performance management and professional growth.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Proactively drive HCAHPS scores by maintaining superior cleanliness standards and engaging with hospital staff to resolve action items.
  • Infection Control: Partner with clinical stakeholders and the Infection Control department to uphold rigorous safety protocols.
  • Project Oversight: Manage departmental initiatives and the Unit Operating System, ensuring all compliance and project milestones are met on time.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of management experience AND 2 years of functional experience in Housekeeping, Environmental Services, or Custodial operations.
  • Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong background in service delivery (Healthcare or Hospitality preferred), with a focus on team motivation and guest satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and technology for reporting and compliance monitoring.
  • Reliability: Ability to work a consistent 2nd shift (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) schedule onsite in Grand Forks.
