Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead frontline teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive operational performance across your assigned area. You will act as a key leader supporting team members, coaching team leaders, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets
  • Build and maintain a positive team environment focused on respect, engagement, and accountability
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction efforts
  • Coach, train, and develop team leaders and production team members
  • Ensure training compliance is tracked and maintained via training matrices
  • Support onboarding and skills development in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S practices
  • Establish and monitor goals aligned with plant performance metrics
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters on shift
  • Interface with union representatives on contract interpretation and disciplinary issues
  • Support production scheduling, process improvement, and operational problem-solving
  • Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of supervisory experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading frontline teams in a production or operations setting
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and develop team members in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience managing training compliance and production workforce development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment, including employee relations and steward interaction
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead through operational challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in fabrication, metal stamping, machining, welding, or similar industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, Kanban, 5S)
  • Familiarity with process control and production scheduling

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and manual activity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
