Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Fairfield, Connecticut. This is a full-time clinical role focused on high-quality, compassionate care for dogs and cats in a modern, fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals (dogs and cats)
- Perform soft-tissue surgeries and routine dental procedures (including extractions)
- Conduct wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventive care consultations
- Interpret diagnostic results and develop treatment plans
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnosis and treatment options
- Collaborate with hospital team members and referring veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical standards
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Eligible for or currently licensed as a Veterinarian in Connecticut (CT license required or obtainable)
- Ability to practice small animal medicine in a clinical hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused veterinary care
- New graduates considered; prior clinical experience preferred
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of small animal clinical practice (preferred)
- Experience in AAHA-accredited or high-volume veterinary hospital settings
- Internship or structured mentorship training
- Experience with surgery, dentistry, and preventive care workflows
