Job Title: Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (Manufacturing, Fabrication & Welding)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Mon–Thu 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Occasional Friday OT
Salary: $70,000–$85,000/year + $500/month shift differential + 5% bonus
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and coach a fast-paced manufacturing team. This 2nd shift role is ideal for someone with supervisory experience in medium/high-volume manufacturing who is passionate about lean operations, team development, and continuous improvement. You'll ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety goals are met while empowering your team to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor team leaders and production staff to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee daily production operations to meet schedules and metrics.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction) and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper training and development for team leaders and members.
- Handle employee relations, including interfacing with union stewards when necessary.
- Monitor production KPIs and report progress to management.
Qualifications:
- Required: 1–3 years supervisory experience in medium/high-volume manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred.
- Proven ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset.
- Experience in fabrication and/or welding preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, coaching, and team management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
