About the Role
We are seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor / Survey Manager to lead and manage survey projects across a range of disciplines, including construction, mapping, utility location, land division, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE). This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing survey crews, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and building strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and direct field survey crews and technicians.

Manage project workflow, budgets, and billing across multiple crews.
- Prepare and review survey documents, legal descriptions, and field data.

Perform QA/QC checks on all survey deliverables.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clientsmaintain and build client relationships.

Lead business development efforts for the surveying discipline.
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Active and in good standing.
- 10+ years of experience in land surveying, including leadership responsibilities.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local surveying regulations.

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in Surveying preferred).
Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE) techniques.

Familiarity with aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning, and drone (sUAS) surveying.

Prior client management or business development experience.
Work Environment & Conditions

95% office-based with occasional field visits.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions; light lifting (up to 35 lbs) may be required.

Travel may be required to project sites or client meetings.
