Were seeking a highly experienced Aviation Project Manager Civil to lead complex airport infrastructure projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a Professional Civil Engineer with a passion for aviation, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record managing multi-disciplinary project teams. You'll oversee civil engineering projects on both airside (runways, taxiways) and landside (roadways, utilities) operations, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage aviation-focused civil engineering projects from planning through execution while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead cross-functional teams and sub-consultants in the delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions.
- Develop project-specific plans such as Project Management Plans and Quality Management Plans.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with FAA design standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Regularly communicate project status to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Participate in financial reporting, invoice reviews, and progress presentations.
- Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing and client interviews.
- Coach and mentor project team members to support professional growth and project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (ABET-accredited).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to become licensed in other states within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing civil engineering projects, preferably within aviation infrastructure.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
