About the Role:
The Company is actively seeking a Mechanical Project Manager with 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project management. If you're a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a passion for innovative HVAC and plumbing systems in the education, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, government, aviation, or transit sectors, this is your opportunity to lead impactful projects from concept to completion.
This is a leadership role with a focus on project delivery, mechanical system design, team coordination, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design projects from planning through construction
- Manage all aspects of project delivery: scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Oversee HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, and field investigations
- Prepare and review mechanical/plumbing design documents (drawings, specs)

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national codes

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and code officials

Support marketing, proposals, and business development efforts
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage internal and external resources

Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering team members
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET Accredited)

12+ years of mechanical design and project management experience

Professional Engineer (PE) License (required)

Expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation tools (Carrier HAP, IESVE preferred)
- Strong understanding of building, mechanical, energy, and plumbing codes

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass company motor vehicle screening

Project Management Certifications: CAPM, PMP

Commissioning certifications: CxA, BCxP

Experience in Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and P3 project delivery
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex infrastructure projects

Knowledge of fire protection and industrial mechanical systems

Background working with federal, state, and local agencies
