Electrical Engineer – Power Generation & Controls

Locations: Tulsa, OK (Entry-Level to III) | Houston, TX (III+)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

About the Role:
Were seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, optimize, and manage electrical systems powering pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. Youll integrate power generation, controls, automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to improve efficiency, safety, and operational reliability. Lead projects from concept to completion, implement arc flash mitigation, ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize electrical power generation and control systems for natural gas or related industries
  • Integrate advanced technologies: automation, PLCs, HMI, real-time monitoring, and energy storage
  • Implement safety measures, including arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, aligning with timelines, budgets, and business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Review electrical schematics, power distribution systems, and instrumentation designs
  • Mentor and support junior engineers

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industries (Tulsa: entry-level also considered)
  • Strong power generation and controls expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC skills
  • Knowledge of arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and electrical codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Master's in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with PLCs, HMI, and instrumentation systems
  • Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC small-to-medium facility projects
