Key Responsibilities:
As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional patient care in a Med Surg unit, prioritizing safety and well-being
- Monitoring, assessing, and documenting patient conditions accurately and efficiently
- Administering medications, treatments, and procedures safely and according to protocol
- Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educating patients and families about treatment plans, recovery goals, and discharge instructions
- Responding effectively to patient emergencies and changes in condition
Required Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Willingness to obtain ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Med Surg RN
- Previous nursing experience in hospital or acute care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
