We are hiring experienced Manual Machinists for immediate openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role involves precision machining, setup, and repair of metal components using manual equipment in a production environment.

Shifts Available

  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Multiple openings per shift (2 per shift)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and balancing machines
  • Perform machining processes such as turning, milling, threading, boring, drilling, grinding, and dynamic balancing
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to ensure tight tolerances
  • Perform welding and metal finishing as needed (MIG, TIG, Stick, Oxy-Acetylene, metal spray applications)
  • Record measurements, calculations, and production data according to quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 3+ years of manual machining experience in a shop or industrial setting
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in shop math (fractions, decimals, tolerances, measurements)
  • Experience using precision measuring tools in machining applications
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certificate or associate degree in mechanical or related field
  • Background in tool & die, machining, or heavy fabrication environments
  • Experience with manual machine setup using gauges and non-CNC methods
  • Welding experience supporting machining or repair work

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced manual machinists (or CNC/fabrication professionals with a strong manual machining background) who can confidently set up and operate manual equipment, read blueprints, and produce precision components to tight tolerances.

  • On-site role in Indianapolis, IN 46201
  • Night shift role requiring reliable transportation
  • Manufacturing environment with emphasis on precision and safety
  • Local candidates within ~30–45 minute commute preferred
