Senior DeltaV Engineer – Life Sciences Automation | Emerson DeltaV | cGMP | Raleigh, NC

Location: Raleigh, NC 27616 (Onsite + up to 25% travel)
Salary: $150,000–$170,000 Base + ESOP + Full Benefits

We are hiring a Senior DeltaV Engineer to lead large-scale Life Sciences automation capital projects in regulated manufacturing environments. This role requires deep expertise in Emerson DeltaV DCS, ISA-88 batch processing, and cGMP-compliant automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle: requirements, design, configuration, commissioning & validation
  • Design and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems for capital projects
  • Develop ISA-88 batch sequencing, phase logic & recipe structures
  • Create high-performance HMIs using DeltaV Live & DeltaV Operate (ISA-101)
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP5 & 21 CFR Part 11
  • Architect scalable, class-based DeltaV configurations
  • Oversee FAT, SAT, and validation documentation
  • Integrate third-party systems via OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Chemical Engineering
  • 8–15 years of automation engineering experience in Life Sciences
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV (design, configuration, implementation)
  • Expertise in ISA-88, ISA-101, cGMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11
  • Experience delivering validated automation systems in US-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership of large-scale capital automation projects
  • Stable work history (3+ years average tenure preferred)
