Salary: $145K–$180K Base + 20–35% Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior MES Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solutions in the Life Sciences industry. This is a leadership role for a technically skilled, hands-on professional capable of architecting MES systems, guiding teams, and driving client success. You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead our Raleigh MES office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead MES solution projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring compliance with cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Act as Solution Architect for MES integrations across ERP, LIMS, control systems (PLC/DCS), historians, and reporting platforms.
  • Deploy MES platforms such as Werum PAS-X, Sepasoft, or POMS for Life Sciences manufacturing.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and oversee project profitability up to $1M+.
  • Mentor and lead engineering teams, guiding junior engineers and technicians.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, recommend optimal system designs, and deliver efficient, compliant solutions.
  • Support business development efforts, including trade shows, associations, and client relationship growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences required.
  • 10+ years MES experience, with at least 4 years in Life Sciences.
  • Proven experience with MES deployment, integration, and full lifecycle management (concept, design, implementation, testing, commissioning).
  • Deep knowledge of GAMP5, S88, and S95 standards for EBR and process integration.
  • Familiarity with ERP, LIMS, DeltaV, SAP, PI, Maximo, and relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, warehouse/inventory management in GMP environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
