Salary: $140,000–$180,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus
Schedule: In-Office (85%) | Field (15%) | 5 Days/Week

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead and optimize day-to-day operations across multiple heavy highway construction projects. This senior leadership role oversees project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, quality, and contract compliance across all crews and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple heavy highway construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
- Partner with Project Managers to develop project strategies, schedules, and resource plans
- Review and interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and schedule risks
- Ensure full compliance with safety programs, OSHA, and company standards
- Monitor field operations to ensure quality, productivity, and adherence to timelines
- Communicate project needs and performance to executive leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, agencies, and partners
- Train, mentor, and develop project managers and estimators
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Heavy Highway Construction
- 10+ years of project or operations management experience (field experience strongly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management (required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven experience with concrete paving, site-work, utilities, drainage, and DOT projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and teams simultaneously
- Stable work history and senior-level leadership experience
Preferred Experience
- Master's degree in Engineering or Management
- Experience working with the Louisiana DOTD, the City of New Orleans, or regional agencies
- Background as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Field Supervisor
