Key Responsibilities of an ER Registered Nurse (RN)

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment for emergency patients in a high-pressure environment.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to diverse medical emergencies.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond effectively to critical situations.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Support ongoing emergency department initiatives, safety protocols, and quality improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico RN License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity situations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Emergency Room (ER) experience
• 1+ year of general nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience in patient triage, emergency interventions, and multidisciplinary collaboration
