Senior Land Surveyor

Senior Land Surveyor (Tennessee Licensed) Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Senior Land Surveyor to lead our surveying operations and manage multiple field crews across Tennessee. In this role, you will direct survey activities, ensure high-quality deliverables, and serve as the primary liaison for clients and project partners. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in leadership, technical accuracy, and client management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor survey crews and technicians.
• Review and assemble field data, complete survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.
• Oversee project quality control/quality assurance, budgets, schedules, and billing.
• Manage client relationships and support business development efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local Tennessee surveying regulations.
• Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (PLS) active and valid.
• 10+ years of hands-on land surveying experience, including field data collection and survey calculations.
• 3+ years of experience managing survey teams or field crews.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Inroads/MicroStation for survey plan preparation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of aerial mapping, LiDAR, sUAS, and SUE preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions.
• Light lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.
