Archaeologist

We are hiring an experienced Archaeologist to support Phase I-III archaeological investigations across Texas and surrounding states. After initial training, a hybrid work schedule is available. TN visa applicants may apply; no other sponsorship is offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and supervise Phase I-III fieldwork, artifact identification, and site evaluations
• Perform lab analysis, data collection, documentation, and report preparation
• Support compliance, mitigation strategies, and project planning with Senior Archaeologists
• Prepare artifacts and records for curation

Required Qualifications:

• Master's in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
• Meets Secretary of the Interior Qualification Standards
• 4+ years of experience with at least 1 year supervising field crews
• Regional experience in historic or prehistoric archaeology
• Writing sample required; strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA)
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Google Earth, or other GIS tools
• Texas Antiquities Permit experience
• Strong lab and curation background
