Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ISR Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of insurance policies, ensuring profitability and growth while maintaining strong relationships with our clients and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to ensure quality service and profitable business growth

- Evaluate and underwrite insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite

- Analyze and interpret data to determine risk levels and appropriate coverage

- Negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients

- Monitor and review policy performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and inform decision making

- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for business growth and retention

- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

- Maintain accurate and organized records of policies, correspondence, and other relevant information

- Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills in insurance underwriting

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance property underwriting, preferably in the Queensland market

- Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and underwriters

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

- Insurance industry certifications (e.g. ANZIIF) are an asset
