Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced AI/ML methodologies for biological and medical data analysis, with particular focus on drug discovery workflows and large language model applications in the bioinformatics domain
• Lead research initiatives in algorithm optimization for genomics, proteomics, and molecular modeling tasks, including development of novel computational approaches to analyze complex biological datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including computational chemists, bioinformaticians, and data engineers to integrate research findings into broader R&D initiatives and product development
• Publish research findings in relevant scientific journals and represent the company at industry conferences and events
• Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio through patents and proprietary methodologies
• Work directly with C-level executives to translate research advancements into actionable business strategies and product features
• Mentor junior research team members and help build the company's research capabilities in the rapidly evolving field of AI-powered healthcare

Key Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Master's or PhD in a relevant field (Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Machine Learning, or related areas)
• Alternatively, 3+ years of industry experience in AI/ML research applied to biological data analysis or drug discovery
• Strong publication record or demonstrable project experience in applying machine learning to biological or medical data challenges
• Proficiency in Python and standard machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) with proven ability to implement and optimize complex AI models
• Solid understanding of AI architectures (transformers, CNNs, RNNs) and experience in training or fine-tuning large models
• Demonstrated expertise in biological data analysis, including working with genomic sequences, proteomic data, or similar complex biological datasets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from top-tier biotech, pharmaceutical, or AI research organizations
• Prior exposure to drug discovery pipelines, molecular docking, or virtual screening approaches
• Track record of successful cross-disciplinary collaboration between AI/ML and life sciences fields
• Familiarity with secure and privacy-preserving data processing methods, particularly as applied to sensitive medical data
• Experience with cloud computing environments and distributed computing for large-scale data processing
