Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative supports current tenants and prospective residents
by providing excellent phone service, resolving basic inquiries, and directing customers to
the right resources with professionalism and care.
This role serves as an important first point of contact for RentReady Homes and plays a key role in making sure customers feel supported and taken care of. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, efficient, and committed to delivering a positive experience while helping guide callers to the correct department, service channel, or next step.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to current tenants and prospective residents over
the phone.
Answer incoming calls in a warm, professional, and helpful manner.
Resolve basic inquiries when appropriate and direct customers to the correct resource,
support channel, or department.
Support prospective residents by directing them to leasing information through
rentreadyhomes.com.
Support current tenants by directing maintenance requests to the maintenance line and
utility billing questions to Conservice.
Help reduce customer frustration by clearly explaining next steps and making sure
callers know how to reach the right team.
Educate callers who selected the wrong phone option and guide them to the correct
selection for faster service.
Use RingCentral to answer, manage, and transfer calls when escalation is truly
necessary.
Escalate issues to management only when needed, such as emergencies, legal matters,
or issues that cannot be resolved through standard service channels.
Follow company policies regarding call handling, professionalism, and customer
communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication and professional phone etiquette.
Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional with both tenants and
prospects.
Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
Ability to confidently guide customers to the correct resources and next steps.
Comfortable using phone and communication platforms such as RingCentral.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use sound judgment when deciding whether to assist, redirect, or escalate.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service, call handling, tenant relations, leasing
support, or property management support.
Experience working with both residents and prospective customers in a fast-paced
environment.
Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
