Job Openings Technical Project Manager — Professional Services

About the job Technical Project Manager — Professional Services

At Tripleview Technologies (TVT), we acquire, innovate, and grow technology companies focused on the public sector. Our companies provide specialized solutions tailored to local governments, supporting mission-critical operations to build better communities. We have loyal customers nationwide and a comprehensive product suite. We continuously invest in developing and enhancing our integrated SaaS platform.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to drive our professional services engagements from contract to completion. ADG, a Tripleview Technologies company, has a growing pipeline of signed professional service contracts — custom integrations, data migrations, system upgrades, and cloud migrations — for municipal and local government clients. This role will serve as the dedicated project management layer that turns signed contracts into delivered value. You will be the primary point of contact for clients throughout the engagement lifecycle, coordinating with our development team to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery.

As a critical member of the Product team, this is a high-impact role. You will have immediate work from day one against an existing contract backlog, with clear follow-on demand from satisfied clients. The "technical" in this title is intentional — while you won't be writing code, you need to be comfortable in technical conversations. You'll evaluate integration approaches with clients, recommend the right solution pattern (REST API vs. SFTP file transfer vs. report customization), and write development tickets that give engineers what they need to deliver. If you thrive on moving projects forward, building client relationships, and making sound technical recommendations, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Conduct client meetings for requirements gathering, status updates, and project kickoffs. Serve as the primary point of contact for all professional service engagements.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of professional service projects — from scoping and requirements through delivery, training, and handoff.
  • Technical Solutioning: Evaluate client requests and recommend the appropriate delivery approach — whether that's a custom integration, a configuration change, a report adjustment, or an API-based solution. Know when a simpler option exists and guide the client toward it.
  • Requirements Translation: Gather client needs and translate them into clear, actionable development tickets for the engineering team. Tickets should include enough technical context that developers can estimate and execute without repeated clarification.
  • Project Execution & Accountability: Track project progress, manage timelines, and keep both ADG and the client on track through completion. Maintain accountability to budget and scope.
  • Recurring Service Coordination: Schedule and manage recurring service work including address database updates, meter reading interfaces, SFTP exports, and other standard engagements.
  • Cloud Migration Support: Coordinate CitizenLink upgrades and cloud migration projects, working with clients and the development team to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status updates to internal leadership and external clients. Manage client expectations with transparency and professionalism.
  • Process Improvement: Help establish and refine professional services processes, templates, and workflows as the function matures.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical project management, professional services delivery, or a related client-facing technical role.
  • Comfortable with technical concepts including REST APIs, SFTP/file-based integrations, database queries (SQL), and common data exchange formats (CSV, XML, JSON).
  • Able to evaluate a client request and identify the right technical approach — distinguishing between when a custom program is needed vs. when an existing feature, report, or configuration change would solve the problem more efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with different clients and timelines.
  • Strong requirements gathering skills — able to conduct client interviews, ask the right questions, and document needs clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable leading client meetings and presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience writing development tickets or technical specifications that give engineers enough context to estimate and deliver.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Genuine interest in growing technically and deepening your understanding of the systems you manage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ERP software, local government technology, or public sector professional services.
  • Familiarity with software implementation projects including data migrations, system integrations, and
  • SaaS deployments.
  • Understanding of software development workflows and the ability to communicate effectively with developers.
  • Experience with cloud migration or SaaS transition projects.
  • Background in or exposure to municipal business processes — utility billing, financial management, building permits, or similar public sector operations. You don't need deep domain expertise today, but a willingness and aptitude to learn the business processes underlying the software will be critical to your success.
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certification is a plus but not required.

What Success Looks Like

  • Signed professional service contracts are actively progressing toward completion with clear timelines and client visibility.
  • Clients feel informed, heard, and confident that their projects are being managed with care.
  • The development team receives well-defined, technically informed tickets and clear priorities for professional service work.
  • You are growing your understanding of ADG's product suite and the municipal business processes it supports, enabling you to have increasingly informed conversations with clients and make better technical recommendations over time.
  • Recurring service engagements are scheduled proactively and delivered consistently.
  • Follow-on engagements are generated organically through strong client relationships and successful project delivery.

Why Join Us?

  • Immediate impact — There is a signed contract backlog ready to go. You will be delivering value from week one.
  • Autonomy and ownership — You will own the professional services function and have the latitude to build it the right way.
