My client is a highly successful Convenience and Supermarket retail group with a number of stores across Leinster. They have recently revamped this store, turning it into a modern fresh food destination.

This is a progressive and well-known retail brand that wins regular retail awards, they offer excellent retail career opportunities, a safe place to work, a permanent progressive retail career, and the opportunity to work with a well-respected retail brand.

These are busy retail stores with approximately 25 staff working in the store, with a focus on fresh foods and customer service. The shop is located in a prime location within Stillorgan.

For the role of Retail Assistant Manager, our client will offer 38,000 - 40,000-year salary and further room to grow this by developing your skills and position in the business.

Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:

• Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
• Provide high level of customer service
• Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
• Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
• Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
• Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
• Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.
• Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.

Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:

• 2+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods.
• Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
• Good people skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
• A strong work ethic.
