We are now seeking a Senior Store Manager to lead operations at one of their flagship locations in the South East, one of the busiest and most high-profile stores in this award winning group.

This is a premier opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Supermarket Manager with a passion for fresh food and team leadership. You will oversee a large, fast-paced store with a team of over 80 employees, including department heads and a highly regarded fresh food division.

Package & Benefits

Salary: up to 65,000 DOE, including 25 days annual leave and other co perks.

Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:

  • Oversee the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the retail store, ensuring consistent delivery of high standards across all departments and overall premises.
  • Drive the stores commercial performance by maximising profitability and sales, while effectively controlling key cost areas such as waste, shrinkage, and labour.
  • Lead and develop the team to deliver exceptional standards in merchandising, customer service, and hygiene, maintaining and enhancing the brands reputation.
  • Manage all HR and Health & Safety matters within the store, ensuring full compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.

Requirements for this Retail Store Manager Job:

  • Proven experience as a Retail Grocery Manager or senior Assistant Manager in a comparable retail food environment, high turnover, commercial and big box preferably, with a minimum of 5 years in senior grocery management.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead, develop, and motivate teams including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, deli chargehands, and other senior staff.
  • Commercially astute, with a track record of identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth, managing costs effectively, and leveraging supplier relationships to benefit the business.
  • Solid working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law.
