We're excited to announce an opportunity for a senior ambient or Shop Floor Supervisor who is looking to move into a larger supermarket group and expand their career. This is a busy traditional supermarket store located in a busy village of South Dublin with roughly 30+ employees, and requires a manager who has experience supervising staff and driving shop floor standards. The store is a private retail enterprise but part of a major retail chain and employs over 15,000 people nationwide, providing ample opportunities for career development under the logo.

Our client will offer a salary from 32,000 up to 38,000 DOE.

The ideal candidate for this Retail Duty Manager Job:

• Have strong attention to detail
• People management skills
• Must demonstrate good business acumen, able to understand how to grow sales, control P&L, control costs.
• Grocery or fresh food knowledge ideally within Retail, Supermarkets, Convenience shops, and garage forecourt environments would be essential for this job.
• Strong organisational skills, demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a high pressured environment
• Flexible to work different shifts, mornings and evenings

Responsibilities for this Retail Duty Manager Job:

• Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards whilst managing the store on your own
• As a Duty Manager, you will be assigned specific departments to ensure effective growth of these areas, by maintaining availability as agreed, driving profitability and sales, liaising and coordinating with your suppliers to ensure pricing and stock levels are controlled and effective control over waste.
• Supervising and coaching teams in your departments
• Customer service, using your experience in professionally resolving complaints, developing a good customer service strategy to entice more customers, increase footfall, and retain customers
