My client is a highly successful and well known Convenience forecourt group, with over 10 stores based across Leinster.
Soon to be part of a global retail chain, our client is looking to bolster its team in their fast-paced store in one of their south Dublin stores.
This is a progressive and well-known retail brand, with good operating policies and procedures, to ensure best practices and healthy business performances. They provide modern training methods by fostering a positive goal-oriented working environment.

A busy retail store with up to 20 staff working in the store, with a focus on fresh foods and customer service. For the role of Retail Assistant Manager, our client will offer 32,000 - 36,000 yearly salary, 43 hour contract, including staff discount, VHI scheme, pension and more.
Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:
- Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
- Providing high level of customer service
- Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
- Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
- Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
- Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
- Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.
- Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:
- 2+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods.
- Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
- A strong work ethic.
