We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and experienced retail leader to take on the role of Store Manager in a busy, high-turnover convenience store located in Dublin 1.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who excels at leading teams, driving sales, and delivering operational excellence. The store is scheduled for a major refurbishment within the next year, offering a unique chance to influence its transformation and future success.

The store features a full-service offering, including a high-volume deli, grab & go section, extensive ambient grocery, and a well-established off-licence. You will lead a team of approximately 25 staff members, with full autonomy, as the business owner remains hands-off due to other ventures.

Strategically located in the heart of Dublin city centre, an area with strong footfall and ongoing development, the store is exceptionally well positioned for further growth.

Our client is committed to securing the right candidate and is offering a competitive salary starting from 50,000, plus performance based bonus.

Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:

• Oversee the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring consistent delivery of high standards across all departments.
• Drive the stores commercial performance by maximising profitability and sales, while effectively controlling key cost areas such as waste, shrinkage, and labour.
• Lead and develop the team to deliver exceptional standards in merchandising, customer service, and hygiene, maintaining and enhancing the brands reputation.
• Manage all HR and Health & Safety matters within the store, ensuring full compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.

Requirements for this Retail Store Manager Job:

• Proven experience as a Retail Grocery Manager or Assistant Manager in a comparable retail food environment, with a minimum of 3 years in grocery management.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead, develop, and motivate teams including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, deli chargehands, and other senior staff.
• Commercially astute, with a track record of identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth, managing costs effectively, and leveraging supplier relationships to benefit the business.
• Solid working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law.
